Terms of Service

Divvy.Social is a technology platform owned and operated by MK & AS Services Pty. Ltd. (ABN 27 613 126 962). By accessing our services, you agree to these legally binding terms.

1. The "Legend-First" Financial Model

Divvy.Social operates on a "Gross-up" fee model. This means the person organising the bill (the "Legend") receives exactly the amount they requested, net of no platform fees.

The person paying (the "Peep") covers the cost of the transaction processing and the split & sync fee. By paying via Divvy.Social, the Peep acknowledges and accepts these service fees in exchange for the convenience of the service.

Credit & Debit Cards

1.75% + $0.30

PayTo (Real-Time Bank Transfer)

1.00% + $0.30

Split & Sync Fee

2.000% service fee applied to all transactions.

2. Security Limits & Compliance

To ensure platform integrity and comply with Australian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) standards, Divvy.Social enforces a strict transaction limit.

Maximum Single Divvy Limit

$500.00 AUD

Attempts to circumvent these limits via multiple rapid transactions may result in account restriction.

3. Role of Stripe Payments

Divvy.Social uses Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe") for payment processing and identity verification. By using Divvy.Social, you also agree to the Stripe Services Agreement. We do not store your full bank or card details on our servers.

4. Legend Onboarding & Responsibility

A Legend is responsible for the accuracy of their Divvy. While we facilitate the financial transfer, Divvy.Social is a technology provider and does not mediate disputes regarding the nature of the original bill. Legends must ensure they are fully "Stripe Onboarded" before attempting to receive funds; unclaimed funds may be returned to the Peep if a Legend's account is not verified within 14 days.

5. User Data & Privacy

We collect minimal data to facilitate social finance. By entering a contact's email or mobile number, you represent that you have their permission to share those details with us for the sole purpose of sending bill notifications. Review our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State.
